Nine Health Science Students from Fort Hayes Career Center going to National Competition in Anaheim, CA
Nine Columbus City Schools’ students won a recent competition at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference and will represent Ohio at the HOSA National Leadership Conference June. 
Columbus City Schools’ Bus Drivers Rock the Rodeo
Columbus City Schools’ bus drivers demonstrated their driving prowess at the recent Central Region School Bus Rodeo. The team of Maxwell Belin, Shelly Haddox, Robert McDonald, and Micki Osborn earned First Place Team and Second Place Individual at the event. 
500+ CCS Students Attend Spare Parts Movie

Columbus City Schools Board Member Ramona Reyes saw the movie Spare Parts, when it opened in January 2015. She was impressed with the message and wanted to get sponsorships so that hundreds of CCS students could have an opportunity to see the film themselves.

 
Centennial HS Students Win National Rube Goldberg Competition
Centennial High School’s STEM Club constructed the ultimate apple pie themed machine in honor of Pi Day (3-14-15) and took top honors in the 2015 National High School Rube Goldberg Machine Contest.
 
Columbus Alternative HS Ranked among Nation’s Most Challenging Schools
Columbus Alternative High School (CAHS) is being recognized by the Washington Post for its effectiveness in preparing students for college as one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools.
