CCS Student to Appear on National Broadcast
Centennial High School student Elijah McKnight will participate in American Graduate Day broadcast on the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) network. The show will be broadcast on September 27.  
Columbus Teacher Selected for National Association for Gifted Children Scholarship

Lisha Perdue was selected by the National Association for Gifted Children for the 2014 Javits-Frasier Scholarship. This competitive scholarship is only awarded to 10 - 15 educators in the entire country.

Parent Literacy Meeting Scheduled for September 18
In an effort to build on the Family Literacy Academies held last Spring, the District will hold a Parent Literacy Meeting for parents of young students and expand the curriculum to include Math and Reading. 
Linden-McKinley STEM Academy among finalists for 25th James B. Recchie Design Award
Sept. 16, 2014 - Linden-McKinley STEM Academy (7-12) is among five finalists for the 2014 James B. Recchie Design Awards, which honors excellence in urban design. Columbus Landmarks Foundation gives the award to recognize excellence in urban design that can be reflected in historic or new buildings and places, additions to existing buildings, parks, public spaces and public art.
