Columbus Landmarks Foundation Provides Gift to Schools

The Columbus Landmarks Foundation recently published a report of research obtained through their African American Landmark Preservation Initiative and gave two copies to each Columbus City Schools' library and made the publication available to the general public.

CCS Seniors Celebrate at College Signing Day

Columbus City Schools partnered with the City of Columbus and I Know I Can to host the city’s first ever College Signing Day at City Hall.

Briggs HS Students Honored at Statehouse
Tori Pappas won the state Division 1 Bowling Tournament this year. State Senator Kevin Bacon and his colleagues recently honored Pappas for her achievement. 
District Partners with Mayor Coleman on African American Male Youth Community Forums
In October 2014, Mayor Michael B. Coleman accepted President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Call to Action to create and implement a plan to address opportunity gaps for boys and men of color in our community. One part of the program is a series of community forums to discuss issues African American male youth face in their communities.
